Description

We begin our journey with Jesus to Jerusalem in this section of scripture. Jesus predicts his death, then the disciples mother (likely with the disciples present and not saying anything) asks for special honor for her sons. Jesus then helps illuminate the idea that the first is last, and the last shall be first, an image that he continues to speak to over and over again throughout this gospel (and especially in this time leading up to and when in Jerusalem with the Pharisees).
